(Here is a quick view if what happened to the family of Clemence and William as they reached adulthood and before they all left India.

The boys went to school at St. George’s College in Mussoorie.  The school is now one of the finer boarding schools in India.

The girls went to school in convents, also I believe in the Himalayas, but I am not sure where. Ralph, as far as I know joined the police service in Calcutta. 

I vaguely remember visiting  him there.  Chappy was in the Custom’s  service also in Calcutta.

Ted worked in Delhi for the High Commissioner’s office, I think, and Eugene (my father) worked for the BB&CI Railway in Ajmer.

Milly and Girlie trained as nurses and both worked in Delhi as far as I recall. 

Babs became a teacher (I think).  I don’t know where she worked in India.

Girlie married a soldier.  I remember visiting their family in the Army barracks inside the “Red Fort” in Delhi. Eugene Aubrey Blanchette)
