(Obituary 1845 :- Col Dick of the 29th and 13th Regiments, died on Nov 2 at Brighton, age 59. He was the son of the late General A Dick, of the EICS and served with the 29th Regiment in the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, being present at the battle of Ferozeshah. He served throughout the Punjab campaign, including the passage of the Chenab and the battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat. During the Indian mutiny he served with the 8th Regiment. Lt Col  East India Co. 1831, General 1866, Com.  Bengal Lancers)
