Henry Raymond EDMUNDS, MBE. (b 1885 Assansol, d 1950 Kalimpong and buried in the grounds of Dr.Graham's Homes). Henry was the first boy to leave Dr. Grahams Homes in Kalimpong, and find work outside. He had a successful career in the Indian Civil Service gaining first the Jubilee Medal and later the MBE for his work in Agriculture. Under his direction the Government Demonstration Farm in Kalimpong developed appropriate crops which he popularised. He was well known for his work among ethnic Nepali peoples without access to paddy fields, introducing maize as a staple. He was constant in his support and encouragement of the Homes and the vision of Dr Graham. Henry was married twice, his first wife was Nelly Denison FOLGER who he married in 1913. Their marriage was celebrated by Dr Graham in person in Kalimpong, India.: Children:
