Signals Unit. He joined the Royal Australian Air Force in 1947 specializing in telecommunications. Served till 1968 throughout ASIA, retiring with an honourable discharge and 
Long Service Medal. Then he transferred to the NSW Corrective Services. Retired 1984 due to ill health, children:
